The Trust is expanding and will be offering opportunities to improve literacy and computer skills, enabling residents to build up skills portfolios. Basic courses in first aid, food hygiene, increasing confidence and self-esteem and employability skills are being made available. In addition residents are encouraged to explore the possibilities of further education by attending college and university open days and enrolling on courses.
New sports activities have been developed, currently residents are involved with a football group on Friday. The Trust is aiming to develop more sport groups and is investigating what exercise classes are available in the local area. Our organisation works closely with other agencies and we seeking to expand our support network. At the moment we work closely with One Recovery Staffordshire (ORS, formerly ADS) which is an organisation supporting those with alcohol and substance misuse issues. ORS attend the Trust every Tuesday to support residents with addiction problems.
